No microprocessor here... The Adm3A was implemented entirely in logic.
The 40 pin chip near the bottom of the board is the UART (serial interface).
The twp 24 pin chips are character generator ROMs, one for lower case and
one for upper case. The terminal only had upper case when I received it. The
socketed ROM chip is a lower case ROM that I salvaged from a different
terminal.

nestled under the neck of the type (which is actually above it in the
normal operating position).
